It has a decent overview of all the topics but Princeton Review does a much better job. This is like a reminder of what to study. It also has a bunch of little mistakes. And the answer sheets for the sample tests only have 4 answers choices but every question has 5 answer choices.

I used this after 9th grade, and if it weren't for this book I would have failed the test. My 9th grade biology teacher was terrible, I learned nothing in her class, and on the diagnostic test I got a 430. I spent 13 straight days using this book for 3-4 hours a day, and when I took my last practice test I got a 770. On the actual test, every time a hard question came up, I thought back to that part of the book, and it never disappointed me. I got an 800. This book is your bible. If you can, memorize it.I just bought the Barron's books for U.S. History, Chemistry, and Literature, and I'm planning to use them for my AP tests as well.

I took this June 2017 as a sophomore in HS. I was definitely expecting a 720 on both biology and math because of how much material I had to study. I did a few sections of the book each day for 25-ish days. When I got to the practice tests, I tended to score in the 600s for biology. When I got to the actual test I scored a 770, so basically, this book is a lot harder in the practice tests than the real thing, so it prepares you well. Same with the Math II book.

Helped me study for the SAT2. I got above a 700. The book goes in depth when necessary is a great studying tool. The practice tests are actually a little harder than the actual test but that just makes it even better to study from. Great book, great condition, great results.

It's good; its extremely factual and accurate to the test. But it seems a little too factual; feeling like it almost just throws facts at u without easy-to-understand, reader friendly manner that Princeton review does. For overall best results for SATII bio, u should get both these books, read the Princeton book first, and use the Barron's to delve deeper into the information

This review book is very effective in giving us all of the information required to score high on the sat. I'd recommend reading this book like a novel, since you have to know a lot of broad information in order to answer most of the questions during the test. Ap bio isnt needed for scoring high on this test, as most of the problems are basic biology. Lastly, if you still have any doubts, I scored a 760 on the test with only the review book, so I highly recommend getting this book if you're taking the sat.

I only wish I would have had more time to study... I took AP Bio sophmore year and blindly took the SAT 2 BioE and scored a 580. I bought the book senior year crammed for a week and got a 680 although I'am currently taking AP Environmental. Make sure to study the anatomy, like the heart, eye, from what I can remember. They can have 3-4 questions just on those.

I didn't know anything about Bio until the year I took Honors Bio at my school, but the SAT 2 is meant for AP Bio students, so I got this book to try and study the higher level material.With many realistic and challenging questions and strategies, this book provided me with the information I needed. It had plenty of practice multiple choice questions, AND tests as well as a diagnostic one that I scored a measly 500 on.Perhaps most importantly, the information that was provided for each unit and each section (both E and M) was spot-on and very detailed, with pictures and diagrams that really aided in understanding the challenging material.In the end, although I didn't get a perfect 800, my score increased 230 points, which I believe is a ridiculously good increase since I studied completely out of this one book.I highly recommend Barron's SAT Biology textbook for anyone who wants to do well (maybe even perfect) on the SAT 2 Biology exam!Good luck!

Love this book, if you grew up in a dispensational church this is a must read

Very good book. I was looking into is Dispensationalist theology biblical, after being taught this without even knowing that this was a modern teaching since the late 1800's. Actually I thought it was the only way to look at the end times. After much study I'm leaning with the Amillenial way of understanding Rev 20. It was an awesome study for the last few months, and I learned much.Jimmy from NJ

Keith Mathison raises the question of whether or not dispensationalism is an accurate way to interpret the Bible. He makes some good points: a. Dispensationalism's anthropology depicts saved human people who have a civil war going on inside of themselves with the new nature versus the sin nature and the system doesn't seem to allow for consistently victorious living in this life (although, Galatians 5:16-18 does seem to capture what dispensationalists are trying to say).Mathison also points out how there is only one people of God according to the New Testament (as opposed to dispensationalism's teaching that there are two peoples), and he makes his strongest case from Romans 11:11-24, where he shows that the one olive tree represents the one people of faith.Keith also correctly identifies how most dispensationalists are more Arminian than Calvinist. However, he errs in his faulty definition of Arminianism, preferring to identify it with Semi-Pelagianism. I get ticked when Reformed people do this, because Arminius believed in the total depravity of man and the complete inability of humanity to lift a hand or a foot toward their own salvation apart from the prevenient grace of God.Mathison does a better job of critiquing dispensational ecclesiology than he does with dispensational eschatology. For example, when discussing the rapture, he never brings up John 14, which clearly teaches that Christ is coming back to take believers with Him to the Father's house.Moreover, Mathison completely sidesteps the passages of scripture which teach that the Lord could come back at any time (Luke 12:35-48; James 5:7-10, 1 Thessalonians 5:1-2, etc). In addition, his teaching about the millennium in Revelation 20 just doesn't make any sense of the text, the premillennial interpretation is much to be preferred, in my opinion.Keith does a good job of avoiding ad hominem argumentation, but he totally misunderstands and mispresents Arminianism, and he fails to grasp dispensational eschatology as well as he should have. 3 stars.

A general account of the errors which sum up the heresy Dispensationalism. A must read for those caught in the web of silly Biblical nonsense pumped out daily on so called Christian Radio and TV. Well written on the level where a lay person can understand.

Great book to learn the basic teachings of Dispensationalism. Not extensive and to-the-point. Great resource. Hate this book's title, though. It sounds like the author's foaming at the mouth in hatred for Dispensationalism, and that's not the tenor of the book. I wish they'd retitle it.

Growing up in churches that teach Dispensationalism and now not believing in that approach to interpreting scripture this book was an interesting read. The author very clearly communicates why Dispensationalism is in error. Furthermore, the book is a very easy read. Two thumbs up!

So - I suppose a number of things have changed in the almost 20 years since this book was written. I attend what I would call a "dispensational" church, but MOST of the doctrine espoused as being "dispensational" in this book is not to be found anywhere within our church. The main point of dispensationalism, the separation of Israel and the Church are taught, but I would have a hard time finding the additional doctrines of salvation, regeneration, and kingdom that Mathison indicates are tenets of the dispensational church.Personally I agree that the separation of "true Israel" and the "true church" are in error, and I agree with the doctrines of the reformed theology regarding election, regeneration, etc. However, I think Mathison's denigration of premillennialism does not ring true. I don't see evidence in this world of Satan being bound and held captive in the Abyss. I think the tribulation and Millennium are still to occur, and that we will get to see it all!

About the Author
Ralph Scurlock, is Emeritus Professor of Cryogenic Engineering, and formerly Director of the Institute of Cryogenics, University of Southampton, UK. In 1999, Ralph Scurlock was selected by the CEC for the Samuel C. Collins Award for his work on cryogenic technology. He was the first person from outside the USA to be awarded this prestigious prize. He is the author of many papers and several books including "Low Temperature Behaviour of Solids", 1965, "History and Origins of Cryogenics",1994, and "Low Loss Dewars and Tanks", 2004.

In writing this review I bring a great deal of knowledge around the nexus of science, consciousness, and philosophy.I have followed Abraham-Hicks for quite some time. I have often felt mixed about what I observe. There is plenty of evidence to suggest to the rational mind that Esther and Jerry Hicks might have been in the spirituality “business” for the money. There is much in what they offer that makes me wonder if it is not a big con. However, after considering the actual content in their books and videos, I can only conclude that what is shared in these materials is truly helpful. I have read “Ask and It Shall be Given.” The skeptic in me often scoffed at the overabundance of positivity therein. However, when it came down to it, I found the processes shared in that book truly effective for shifting one’s mindset, as well as building greater capacity to operate from a more centered place in one’s being. Carl Jung has said that the truth is “what works”; “The truth is what helps you live.” The books written by Abraham-Hicks do help you live.This book is interesting to me for how it connects with the ideas presented within the community of out-of-body explorers, like Thomas Campbell and William Buhlman. It is pretty far out stuff, but most of the people who explore out-of-body state that they don’t want you to believe them. They encourage you to learn the techniques required, and go and find out for yourself. I trust this stance. We can only learn the truth of what works by practicing the ideas offered and learning for ourselves. The perspective offered by those who travel out of body is one that can shake every assumption we hold as a “typical” 21st-century human being. What these explorers suggest is that we are all beings of consciousness that operate multidimensionally and that living in the physical plane has a very important and distinct purpose related to the further purpose of evolution of the total system of consciousness. These are big ideas that cannot be covered in an Amazon review, but if you’re curious I suggest you check out these authors.Abraham-Hicks suggest this same big picture perspective. Too much confusion is sowed from our collective culture as we grow and develop. We emerge as adults confused and disconnected from our natural abilities to guide our life from our feeling function. However, I can attest to the fact that when individuals are living from their highest potential they feel fantastic.If more people had “to feel“ lists, rather than “to do“ lists, their lives would transform drastically for the better.Of course, there is much more to it than that. This book offers a novel and transformational perspective that can change your life for the better, if you can digest and integrate what is being offered.

The reason that I know that everything in this book is absolutely true is because after reading this I get an unexplained rush of energy that is truly supernatural. I'm not kidding and if you read Ask and it is Given you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. It's like my soul is giving me a signal that this is real. It's true that its mostly redundant stuff from Ask and it is Given but that's a good thing because I've read Ask and it is Given so many times I'm memorizing the words. At least now they're mixed around and I still get my burst of energy. I was going through a really tough time in my life when I read the Abraham/Hicks books and it's still amazing to me that I went from a deep depression to one of the best moods I've ever been in. A lot of people get this feeling after reading the Bible but I get it from reading spiritual books including the Abraham/Hicks books.

This is an excellent book to read if you are just starting out with the Law of Attraction or want to add to the knowledge you already have. It will clarify some questions you may have about manifesting. On the other hand, you can get the same information from their Youtube videos.

The second of the Hicks books that I've read - and this one largely mirrored the first. There is a component where Esther and Jerry discuss their relationship with "Abraham", their name for Collective Consciousness. I think the information presented here was even more stimulating than the previous book. The chapters on Vibrational Relativity and Finding Alignment are particularly helpful. Also helpful are the chapters on Improved Vibrational Relativity and The Action Journey and the Emotional Journey.This book also contains some of the best processes Abraham has offered. Most notable is the Focus-Wheel, often mentioned by Abraham elsewhere. This is where Abraham first explained the process and gave examples applied to various situations.The biggest problem I found in this book was wading through the several chapters on Vibrational Relativity regarding.... Also the several chapters regarding balancing desires and beliefs. These chapters become very redundant. I think they would have worked much better formatted into tables. That would have made the information much easier to scan and reference.That complaint aside, any Abraham book is worth reading. They do the best job of presenting the mechanics of manifestation.
